049. Why Marketing Feels Hard and How to Make it Easier

Marketing just feels hard sometimes. Whether it’s figuring out the tech or not knowing what to say, feeling like you have nothing to say, comparing ourselves to other entrepreneurs further along than we are, trying to achieve perfection in everything we put out, having a million ideas and not knowing which to pick first…and the list goes on.

So, what can we do to get over this hump and make it easier? For me, what seems to work most often is: 1) Remember why I’m in business, the mission I’m on here. This instantly changes my focus from me, me, me to my larger purpose; 2) Simplifying by bringing it all back to the one person I can serve today, or one thing I can do to move forward. Simple actions create momentum and sometimes that’s all we need; 3) Knowing the timeless principles of marketing in their most essential form. Boiled down, marketing is simply creating relationships with other humans and offering to help them. Just doing this every day and never giving up is what got me to six figures in my business and has kept me in business for 17+ years. And it works for you too!

In this episode of the podcast, I want to create some awareness for you around why marketing feels so hard sometimes and how you can get yourself back on track.
